I’m sure this is true for many of us…your queue on ravelry grows at an exponential rate, along with your yarn stash, when you’re in the middle of a knit. Am I right or am I right?! It’s like grocery shopping when you’re hungry. All kinds of good yet bad stuff end up in your cart and all along you think it’s a really really great idea. Until the next morning when it’s like….whoa.
I *should* be knitting on my cancan or my spruce or even my lush! but instead I found myself over on ravelry spying all the goodies. And of course I fell in love, and of course in my moment of weakness not only did I buy the pattern , I fell so head over heels in love with the colours of one project I went and bought the exact same. I’m so bad!!
This week’s example of my non-existent will power is Freddygirl’s stripe study shawl. Come to mama, you gorgeous thing you!!
Knit in TFA gold and lucky penny. How divine!
I’m not usually a yellow girl (hello ginger!) but this just screamed ginger friendly and it is soooo pretty. I can see myself wearing it this summer to keep my shoulders warm while I sit on a patio drinking a cocktail in the early evening glow with the wind ruffling my hair, reading the next great Canadian novel.
And crash…that is the sound I made landing back in my reality of yoga pants, ponytails, diet Pepsi and dr, Seuss.
But at least this beauty will go well with yoga pants, right? Once it makes it out of my stash that is, lol!
